What we did Thursday

Today we split up again in two groups with group two heading further out into the suburbs than we ever have. Kendra and Amanda from Caravan drove us out about 5 miles into the hills. This time we were tasked to build a house for a single man who was laid off from work late last year. He and his elderly mother who is quite ill needed a place of their own as they are each staying with friends during these tuff times. This unit was a 12x16. When we finished the home he was brought to tears in appreciation of how much people still care enough to travel as far as we have to help people like him in times of despair. He praised God for us and told us how blessed we are. I mentioned we are each blessed with a God who always loves us no matter what.
